Hurricane Electric IPv6 Tunnel does not work with Cloudflare
So, for the past days I’ve been trying to connect my tunnel from HE.net to my server. The reason for this is, because my server does not have native IPv6 and it is behind NAT, but it does have open port.
In order for me to gain a direct access from outside internet without relying on my open ports, I had to rent external server that has IPv4 and forward the whole traffic into my NAT server. But because it cost more, so I was trying to find another way.
It comes to my mind that HE offers free IPv6 tunnel than can be routed as well. So I used that and configured my server to be accessible from the internet using the tunnel. I got it working and I can directly access it through IPv6.
However, not everything works perfectly. I tried to proxy my server IPv6 using Cloudflare so it can be accessible by anyone even if you only have IPv4. The problem is, it seems that HE is blocking Cloudflare. It was internal decision from HE so I can’t do anything about it. I assume this has to do with the amount of abusive traffic from Cloudflare.
I will be renting another IPv6-only server to route into my NAT server. I will post the process when it’s done.
